Finding comfort in Joshu's warm & breezy EP, way back home

Listening to way back home by Joshu felt like finding an old, worn journal filled with memories I hadn’t yet written. His delicate, reflective songwriting carried me through waves of nostalgia, belonging, and self-discovery... feelings I’ve often struggled to put into words. From the gentle acoustic tones of "morning eyes" to the wistful longing in "way back home", each track felt like a letter to places and people I’ve left behind. Joshu’s voice, intimate and unembellished, made me feel like I was sitting across from him, swapping stories of lost love and distant shores. "honey in the dark" resonated deeply, its melody familiar, like a song I’d known in another life. And as someone who’s grappled with what “home” truly means, his words felt like a quiet reassurance. Home isn’t a place... it’s the relationships, the moments, the memories we carry. Despite the weight of its themes, the EP doesn’t wallow in sorrow. There’s warmth in its breezy rhythms, a lightness that lifts you, much like the ocean winds that inspired it. Joshu has created a companion for anyone searching for their own way back home.
